Welcome to Louise the Lamb

When we rescued some sheep earlier this year we thought they might be pregnant ladies and sure enough one of them gave birth to a lamb this morning.  She’s a sweet little girl and mother and daughter are doing well.

Mum seemed to know what she was doing and was licking and fussing her baby within minutes of having her – she’s done this before.   It’s amazing how quickly lambs are up on their feet and looking for milk, a nice feed and then she curled up in the straw and went to sleep with mum watching proudly over her.
