There’s a little dog at the sanctuary who’s very close to my heart. When you first meet him he gives you the impression that he doesn’t need you and just carries on with his walk and ignores you, he wouldn’t take treats not even when I left them on the floor. He made me feel so sad. I had to dig deeper and try to get through to the little man.
Little by little he got to trust me and his personality came out. He still follows his nose and shuts his ears when he goes out for a walk but in a home environment and what a change. He loves cuddling up and watching the tv. He can sit, give his paw and wait (sometimes) to command. He will sit happily on the window ledge watching the world going by or lay on the floor, with his legs spead out behind him like a frog, playing with his toys.
He can have his dippy moment and run round and round the room or roll round on his back.
He loves being out on the back garden either taking in the sun, playing catch or burying his toys, digging them up and finding a better place to bury them – all with his nose – he’s so funny.
He may only be a little boy and pretend to be too cool for school but he’s a sweetheart.
I may have taken him under my wing but he’s given me so much more.
Thats Tigger 🙂 – from Denise who is Tigger’s best friend.Dear Denise, Thanks a million for taking this little chap into your heart – you have made such a difference to his life – he adores you. What a transformation your love and care have made. He can’t wait for his quality time with you. He doesn’t mind coming back – because he knows you’ll be fetching him again soon. Just shows what love and lots of t.l.c. can do! Thanks again, Daphne.
