This cat is a poseur

Patrick is a laid back cat but the strange thing about him is that he never has a hair out of place.   He is the most photogenic personality in the sanctuary, always posing beautifully in a scenic location – by the pine trees, on top of a gate post, by a tub of flowering plants – he picks the right spot every time.  Most cats dash off when they see you fetch the camera but not our Patrick – he waits patiently, smiling and posing, turning his head this way and that – get my best side will you – until you have the shot.   While the other cats are difficult to photograph, they start scratching or yawning or turn their head or decide to sit in front of the dust bins, this cat never puts a paw wrong.  With a certain instinct for the photogenic, he is never ruffled, doesn’t ever look ungainly or awkward, Patrick sets the scene and always the right background.   There he sits until he sees the camera and then he starts to preen.  A vain cat?   An attention seeker?   Or just a natural model?   I think so.
