Taming tiny tigers

This little kitten shown here with Pet Sam volunteer Annabel, is Rafferty and he is very tame and friendly.   Annabel has recently been coming every day to help us with the kitten club – thanks – you’re a star!    While the well socialized kittens are a pleasure to handle and love the  fuss, we do have some ‘tiny tigers’.   They have been abandoned and gone wild.    We’ve managed to catch them and they’re now in the cat cabin but so far are resisting our offers of friendship.   It takes time and patience to get them round to liking humans, they are afraid of us because they have not been socialized as very young kittens – the first few weeks are critical.    We can stroke them, just, and then they dart away.   It’s a slow process and hand feeding and teaching them to play all helps.    If anyone can spare an hour or two to help we’d be very grateful.   Please get in touch – email is best in first instance.  Many thanks.
