Unless kittens are handled regularly when they are very young, they soon turn into wildcats. Miss even a day or two picking them up and they are hissing, spitting little furies. Although they soon go wild, they will just as quickly revert to loving babies – all it takes is patience and fussing. While they will stay wild if they’re not handled when young, once they are tamed they will be friendly always. It’s a vital stage in their interaction with us. Are you able to come and cuddle kittens this weekend? We have four little ones in the cat cabins by the Visitor Centre and they’d love to meet you. We’re open 11.0 to 4.0 – kitten tea party anyone?
