Squirrel babies snuggling up

Our rescued squirrels now how to keep warm and snuggle up into their fleecy nest.  Underneath the cover there is a heated pad that gives gentle warmth and they love it.  If they are moved away they wriggle back to it.  The babies are still having two hourly feeds and are coming on well, you see their downy squirrel hair growing now.   It’s still too soon to be a hundred per cent confident though, babies this small are very difficult to rear – but every day is a bonus and so far so good.
