Some soothing for Sally

She’s in a shocking state – poor Sally but she’s a brave little girl.  We’re taking it gently with her, she likes to be fussed and reassured, this dog has a really sweet forgiving nature.   Her nails look awful but we have already taken a lot off.  We stopped as soon as she became stressed, it’s going to be a bit at a time.

We’re bathing the worst of her sores, some are bleeding, she lets us do it without any complaints.   When we put aloe vera (which is a plant extract that’s healing and soothing) she relaxes.  It must feel good.   A coat with a cotton lining is keeping her cosy – and lots of fleeces to snuggle up in.   If anyone has any blankets, towels, fleeces, duvets and can spare them, we’d be glad to have them.   We have a lot of frail and injured animals in at present.

As always we’re using holistic and herbal treatments for Sally, they won’t put any stress on her.   We can only hope and pray that she has the strength to keep going.
