Simba’s ears are better, he’s eating well and putting weight on and his coat, which was tight and dry, is getting softer. We’re giving him lots of oily fish, which is our standby when dogs are out of condition, he love them anyway so it’s a real treat for him.
Simba is a lovely dog, kind and gentle, he’s a pleasure to care for and to walk. It’s a tribute to his former owners that he is such a friendly dog, he has been well socialised and trained.
We find that Shar-Pei’s are mostly good natured and placid. We don’t get many brought in though. It may be a characteristic of the breed or perhaps we’ve just been lucky so far.
