We urgently need shredded paper – if you have any bags of it available please bring them in. We’ve just about run out and it’s so useful for bedding, the dogs love it, they can snuggle up in it, hide their toys and it’s soft and comfy. Jack Spratt will tell you that a load of shredded paper makes his favourite cosy bed, just right for all his tender joints. It’s also easy to dispose of which is important from our viewpoint – waste disposal is a huge expense these days.
Just one thing to remember, it has to be long cut shredding only. The fine crosscut shreds blow all over the place and we can’t use them.
If you can bring it in please come in to the top yard and leave by Reception – anytime we’re open is fine, that’s between 10.0am and 4.00 pm. We try not to waste anything at the sanctuary and Recycling is a big part of our operation. Don’t throw your paper away! Ordinary newspapers are useful too.
Many thanks for all your help.
