Sammy Squirrel is doing well

We think that Sammy is around 8 weeks old, he’s still very much a ‘baby’ and loves to be wrapped in a fleece and have a cuddle.  After a minute or two he’s on the move and climbing is what he does best, trying to get on to my shoulder or burrow inside my coat.   Squirrels have the lovliest feel to them, their fur is just like velvet.

We were relieved when Sammy started eating, he likes nuts and grain best of all.   When he’s finished his meal he wants another cuddle and then it’s back into his den in the hay.    He’s such a beautiful baby!
