Sad face cat left on the doorstep

cats - millie

It isn’t often that the vet rings us – we’re the ones who are usually on the ‘phone asking for help.  When they found a cat box on their doorstep with an elderly cat inside, they needed to find a home and rang us to find out if we could help.

There was a note with the cat telling us that her name was Millie and that the owner didn’t want to give her up but that she had no option.   This is often the case.  At least she wasn’t just left out to starve.

We agreed to take Millie in and Carrick Vets were kind enough to vaccinate and worm her for us – thank you.  She is a sweet little cat but at the moment is quite upset at the change in her circumstances.   She isn’t a youngster and it must be very hard for her to adjust.  We’re giving her lots of tlc and she is gradually settling in.   We need specially dainty cat food for her and to tempt her to eat.   If anyone can bring any little trays or Sheba or anything tasty in for her it will be much appreciated.  Ordinary pouches don’t appeal to Millie at present.
