The first day of the New Year and we’ve had a badly treated puppy brought in. She’s thin and underrnourished and has been beaten and kicked. Millie was brought in to us this morning, she is ravenous and is having frequent small meals. We’ve checked her over and are watching out for internal bleeding which sometimes happens after trauma injuries.
This lovely little puppy is frightened and timid, cringing and afraid of being hurt. Giving her lots of cuddles and reassurance is a pleasure, she is a real sweetie. What breed? A staffi x we think and around 12 weeks old. She’s an intelligent girl and when she gets over her fright she will be a great pal. Millie is an exceptionally well marked pup with brindle tiger strips and a white flash on her face, quite stunning.
Reassurance is important for her now, we’ve wrapped her up in a warm coat and made her a den with lots of blankets and duvets in it. She’s exhausted, all she wants at the moment is to close her eyes and rest. Hopefully, she’ll feel lots better in the morning…. we’ll make sure no one ever hurts you again Millie, sweet dreams little one ………..
