Pugsie is on the payroll

Pugsie came to stay with us when his owner could no longer look after him because of a serious illness.   He’s a very good natured ‘golden-oldie’ and settled down here straight away.   His health problems were the first worry, he was very overweight (slimming down nicely now), very unfit with wobbly legs because of lack of exercise, also he had overgrown nails and had to go to the vet because one of them had gone into the pad and caused an infection.

Pugsie is on the mend now and since he is a very sociable chap we decided to take him down to the shop and see if he wanted to be one of our ‘meeters and greeters’.    Pugsie loves it and has taken to his new role with enthusiasm.   Everyone coming to ‘In the Dog House’ is sure of a big fuss from him right away.   Of course, if you happen to have any titbits…….?    Pugsie likes all kinds of meat and chicken too and he loves pottering about the shop.   It’s not only good exercise for him, the interaction and affection he gets from visitors is the best feel-good therapy he could have.   Please pop in to see him if you’re round this way at the weekend.

If only he could take messages!
