Prayers please

Pray for all creatures in pain

Please spare a moment to focus on all sentient beings who suffer pain at the hands of human beings.  

Our Prayer Today is for Mice 

Especially send your prayers for the tiny mice who have recently been forced into a ‘scientific study’ on their pain thresholds.    The mice had severe pain inflicted by ‘researchers’  who have been conducting studies on whether the mice showed facial expressions when suffering pain.  After ‘torturing’ the mice, they did indeed prove that mice do  show a variety of agonised features when they are hurting.

What gives the right of any human to do this cruel and nonsensical procedure to a little creature?   What does it prove?    What good is it?    They have stated that it is so they can assess pain levels when conducting experiments on mice.   Don’t!    Stop!   Say no to all animal experiments!

Mice may be rodents and considered a pest by some humans but they are members of Planet Earth and have their own unique place in life here.    To deliberately inflict suffering on them makes us inhuman.

The way we treat other living beings is a sign of our civilisation – We haven’t come very far have we?
