We know that funds are tight for everyone but could you spare us a small amount – £1.50 – to help the sanctuary ponies? If enough people give us a even a little bit then we can get the ponies on to some good fresh grazing. They are still having feeds because there isn’t much grass in our paddocks yet and they can’t go in any of the other fields until the fencing is fixed. Grace and all the other mini ponies would love to get at the fresh grass but our fencing is twenty years old and has been patched up so many times it’s now past being fixed.
Our big horses too need to get on to some good new Spring grazing. No matter what quality of feed your give a horse or pony there is nothing so nourishing as fresh grass. We are stuck though with lots of succulent grass that we can’t turn out on because the fences have given way.
Chloe is still eating hay, which we are having to buy in, because we can’t let her on to a new field. Fencing is a major problem right now.
Bibby and Daydream! Hey, come back! Where do you think you are going? These two have escaped and set off down the lane for pastures new. When there’s plenty of grass everyone is content, but when it’s eaten down and they can see lush green stuff the other side of the gate they are always watching for a chance to slip through and get to it.
A small donation of £1.50 would be a great help towards our fencing appeal. If enough people give us even a small amount we will quickly get there. Many thanks.
