Pigeon rescue

When Pet Samaritan Rachel found an injured pigeon unable to walk or fly she went straight into action and brought the bird in to us.   He’s a racing pigeon but although the owner has been contacted (via the number on his ring) he does not want the bird back.  Pigeons are only valuable when they win races.

We are glad to have him though and will patch him up and rehabilitate him.  He’s a beautiful pigeon and we’ve called him Pepi.  When we’ve fully assessed his injuries we’ll know more.   Thanks Rachel for saving this bird’s life – if only everyone was as caring as you are….
