What is it about white cats and their ears? As they get older they always seem to get problems. Our beautiful old lady cat Pebbles has had to go to the vets because she suddenly developed a haematoma on one of her ears. It swelled up and was full of blood. The vet drained it and gave her antibuiotics and cream but it keeps filling up again and having to be re-done. Poor little Pebbles, we feel so sorry for her, she is such a sweet cat and is being very brave – although it obviously hurts she has made no attempt to scratch.
The vet is hopeful that it will heal given time but will her ear ever get back to it’s former shape? It’s doubtful. Pebbles is sleeping a lot while she’s poorly but she’s still eating well so that is a good sign.
If you’d like to sponsor Pebbles and come and meet her please let us know, she is a real darling and love visitors.
All our cats (and dogs) have comfy beds and Pebbles loves her ‘nest’ – and her little dolly!
