Meet the kittens at Companion Care

Little kitten Sabrina is having a day out tomorrow, Saturday 4th September.   Along with her three kitten friends and big pal Lawson, she will be at Companion Care’s Kitten Club Open Day.We were delighted to get invites for our kittens (and hope they all behave themselves!).    It’s a great opportunity for them to meet people and hopefully find new homes.   If you are interested in adopting a kitten you will be able to see them and find out all about their personalities.    Companion Care will give all the kits a full health check too (thanks folks!).   Big laid back lad Lawson is going along too.    He is a really loving character cat and we hope he’ll find someone he can adopt and train up – he loves food by the way.

Shorty is a real poppet.  He is Sabrina’s little brother and was born with only half a tail.   Well, he had only half a tail the first time we saw him but we don’t like to disturb newbornes in the nest.   It doesn’t seem to bother him at all and we think he’s cute!    Shorty is gentle and very loving – he’s fully litter trained and will be having his first vaccination tomorrow.   All kittens adopted will have a full Companion Care health check too.

This is the third of the trio – Amber who was easy to name because she has such beautiful amber coloured eyes.    The kits were born at the sanctuary after their mother was brought in after she’d been abandoned.   Amber has a delightful personality, a bit shy at first but very affectionate when she gets her confidence.   She is not a pushy sort of kitten but is eating well – baby cat biscuits and kitten pouches – and she is litter trained.    Amber will have her first vaccination and a full health check at Companion Care.

Say hello to laid back Lawson.   This guy is a super special cat – a real personality plus people pleaser.  Lawson was ‘dumped’ at the sanctuary as a kitten – we found him one lunch time on the shop counter!    He has been at the sanctuary ever since and is a firm favourite.  Lawson is about a year old now and is fully vaccinated and has been neutered.    What does he like best?   To be fussed, picked up, told how wonderful he is, to follow you round – he can even dance and sashays about!  Lawson also loves food.   And more food.   And yes, a bit more food please.   He has a great appetite.    We are looking for a home where he will be the only cat because Lawson loves attention and will want to be your one and only.

Companion Care is in the Pets at Home super store on Ravenside Retail Park, Markham Road, Chesterfield S40 1TB.   Tel:  01246 557555.   You’ll be able to see the cats and kittens between 10.0am and 2.0pm.    They’ll all come back home afterwards.

If you’d like to adopt one of them please give your details to staff at Companion Care and they’ll pass them on to us.   There is an adoption fee which helps us to keep going and looking after all the pregnant cats and the senior citizens.   We have lots of cats dumped here and never put any healthy cat to sleep.

Companion Care are offering a free adoption pack and discount on vets fees and Hill’s Science Plan cat food – which is one of the best you can give.

Don’t forget that our own Sanctuary shop ‘In the Dog House’ will be open from 11.0am to 4.0pm, so if you’d like to come and chat to us about adopting, please come along.  You’ll be able to get info on our dog adoptions too.  We have gifts, books, crystals, herbs, jewellery and lots of goodies on sale in aid of the animals – our coffee shop will be open too and we have a super new selection of delicious handmade cakes.   Free top up tea and coffee.
