It was really cold when Louie came back to see us at the weekend but that didn’t bother this great little Jack Russell because he was wrapped up warm in a camo jacket with his hood up. No frozen ears for this little dog! Short coated dogs feel the cold when they are on the lead or standing around, it would be different if they were free and running all the time. A coat helps maintain their body heat and makes them feel more comfortable. There was no doubting how much Louie liked his coat and furry hood.
Louie came in to us as a stray and was lucky enough to find a fantastic home when he was put up for adoption. Louie is a Parson Jack Russell with longer legs than the average J.R. He is a lovely friendly character dog and settled well in his new home from the start. They certainly know how to make sure he is warm and happy.
Louie loves his new people and the feeling is mutual! Another happy ending …… aaah.
