Krystal is taking the tablets

It’s only a little tablet and she has one a day but this ‘magic’ medicine seems to be making all the difference.   When Krystal was recently diagnosed with Cushing’s disease we were devastated.  We’ve seen this awful illness in dogs and it makes them very poorly.   The vet said that we’d probably caught the illness just in time and was fairly optimistic.   She was right – as soon as we started to give Krystal her medication she perked up and was well enough to go out for a walk in the field.

She’s much more like her ‘old’ self although when it starts to have a chill in the air or blow with rain, she wants to come straight back in.   Krystal has always liked sunny weather – to match her beautiful golden palomino colour maybe.

Krystal likes the goats for company.  She is a very gentle pony and in all the years she’s been here has never put her ears back in temper or tried to kick.

Still beautiful in spite of her injuries.
