Jemima Puddleduck looking for new home

birds - jemima duckShe’s found a lovely home – thanks.  Jemima was brought in because her owner had gone away to university and she needs companionship.  She is a lovely tame duck who, like all her species, loves water and to swim and splash around.  Jemima is used to beiing treated well and having someone to respond to, she is a sociable bird.  As well as having water she needs space, grass to graze upon and a secure hut for the night.  Ducks are easy to put away as soon as they realize where ‘home’ is.  Put their supper in their living quarters and they’ll waddle in to get it.

The compound needs to be super-secure as there as many predators.  A visit from the fox will bring tragedy.  Some dogs also chase ducks.  Stoats, weasels and polecats will also have a go.   If you can give Jemima a home and would like to come and meet her please get in touch.  We’re open between 11.00 and 3.0pm – please press the bell on our Reception on the right hand side in the top yard – it’s a blue wooden cabin.  Many thanks.
