How to help the animals

Blacksmiths, dentists, feed bills, stray dogs brought in and we’ve been to the vets with dogs and cats four times this week.   The expenses of caring for all the animals seem never ending.

Thank you to everyone who has brought us food and blankets, carrots and all sorts of good things – we couldn’t carry on without your help so please keep it coming!

Unwanted items help the animals

We can turn your unwanted items into help for the cats and dogs and goats and ponies so, if you can, please bring us:

Clothes – any sort

Blankets, towels, bedding

Handbags, shoes and belts

Toys, teddies, dollies

Books, paperback and hardback

Bric a brac, clocks, watches

Jewellery – doesn’t matter if it’s broken

Lamps, curtains, cushions

CD’s and DVD’s

Gift sets & miscellaneous

Cleaning materials

In the Dog House

The shop is open every Saturday and Sunday between 11.0am and 4.0pm.   Coffee and delicious home made cakes too.   Come and have a browse through the gifts, collectibles, antiques, books, special fair trade and designer jewellery, greeting cards, preloved clothes – it’s the place to find that perfect gift and you’ll be helping the animals at the same time.  We aim to be open during the week from Wednesday onwards – a bit ‘pot luck’ though depending on volunteers.   We’re always open around mid day, the rest of the time it’s chance or appointment – just let us know you’re here and we’ll be glad of the chance to have a sit down and a cup of tea while you shop!
