Hope at the vet’s it’s not good news

kitten - hope eye 1

Hope, the little kitten who came in with an injured eye, went back to the vet for a check up today.  It wasn’t the good news we were wishing for – her eye is improved but she has no sight in it.  Well, we were almost expecting that but not what came next – the vet thinks that she is blind in both eyes.   We hadn’t had any warning of this, Hope appears to see us and responds to us well.  It will be a few weeks before the vet can tell for sure so we are still worrying about this sweet little kitten.

She’s come home with some different eye cream and maybe this will help.   Her ‘good’ eye looks perfect, the thought of her being without sight is dreadful.   Also, she may have to have the injured eye removed when she is older.   Let’s have some good strong thoughts and prayers for this little kitten please – she really needs us.

Hope Appeal – if you can help with her ongoing treatment and care it will be such a good help  – please mark donations Hope Appeal – or download a standing order form, fill in and take to your bank.  Even a small amount – just £2.00 a month will help this little kitten.

Donate online or Cheques payable to Pet Samaritans, post to St.Bernard’s Animal Sanctuary, Broomhill Road, Old Whittington, Chesterfield, Derbyshire S41 9EA.  Many thanks.
