Now is your chance to tell the government what you think about dangerous dogs – Defra are conducting a survey and it will only take you a few minutes to fill it in – www.surveymonkey.com/s/dogsconsultation2012
It’s rarely the dogs fault when things go wrong. Whilst no one wants the public to be put at risk and all dogs need to be kept under control, we believe that education (of owners) and training and socializing (of dogs) is the answer.
Any breed of dog can become dangerous. It’s down to circumstances, lack of care and knowledge and socialization. We live in a dangerous world – cars and wars kill far more people than dogs – who do so much good, benefit us hugely and are a part of nature. We need to make our views known – there will be more laws, higher costs, abandoned dogs and pet police if we don’t.
The survey is only open until June 15th – so please fill it in now.
