We received a call the other day about a couple of kittens found in a rabbit hutch. Feral cats are often seen in the area where the kittens were found, so when a concerned Pet Samaritan called us, we were on our way to help. The poor little kittens were in a terrible state, probably only a week old but covered in fleas and muck. We saw quite a few feral cats around, so it is possible they might have been from different litters. We had hoped to catch mum too but it wasn’t to be. The kittens were taken back to the Sanctuary for emergency care with Jo and Kate. They needed a good clean up with a gentle wash to have any kind of a chance but it was touch and go whether they would pull through.
Just look at the colour of the water after one kitten!
They soon felt much better and started to feed which is always a great sign. We decided to call them Miracle and Marvel due to their amazing recovery.
We are happy to report they are continuing to improve and stable for now. If you would like to support Miracle and Marvel, please follow the link below to make a donation directly to the kittens.
