Three baby birds were brought in today, their mother had been killed and was near the nest. They are doing well and always hungry, ever open beaks. Thanks to the lady who brought them to us and saved their lives. She had the good sense to bring their own nest too which makes a big difference. The smallest thing makes a difference when rearing fragile birds. They are snug in the nest and nice and warm, a heated pad helps also.
There’s a Brinsea incubator box on our ‘Wish List’ – it’s expensive but would make such a difference to our wildlife rescue. If anyone can help us towards one we, and all our little creatures, will be very grateful.
