Duckling loves his teddie

This little duckling was left behind when his family moved on.  He was becoming increasingly desperate and vulnerable and after searching for several hours without finding any trace of mum, his rescuer decided to bring the lonesome baby in to us.

It is difficult to rear a singleton on their own but a soft toy can sometimes bring comfort.   This baby loves his teddie (or is it a tigger?).   The duckling is already imprinted on to the toy, which is just about the right size.   Unfortunately our other rescued ducklings are much bigger, swimming well and nearly ready to be released.

We have to keep this baby duckling on his own but with Tigger for company till he’s grown up and ready for freedom.
