Sheep are devoted mothers

The sheep we rescued have proved to be excellent mothers, these are todays new borns and within minutes of the birth she was cleaning them and fussing round them and encouraging them to suckle.   These are two little boys and are strong and sturdy,once they find the teats they are away and feed with a lot of enthusiasm.

Some of the sheep are almost too obsessed with babies and try to steal another lamb that isn’t theirs. Sorting all the new families out has proved a challenge.   Once the lambs have had a couple of days feeding and lots of snuggle up to mum time, they are ready to play.   Already they have made friends with one another and are quite happy to go off to play with their friends for a while.
