Cat cruelty

This little cat has had a lucky escape, she was brought to us in a cardboard box covered with duck tape and with only a few holes for air.   She’d been in there for a long time, she was salivating, very stressed and dehydrated.  We were told that she was a stray who was going to be thrown in a pond.  It’s shocking that anyone could even contemplate such a thing.  She is so traumatixed when we lifted her free that she was on the point of collapse and couldn’t stand.

In spite of her ordeal she purred when we stroked her, although she doesn’t yet like to be held.  We’ve called her Dulcie because she is so sweet and pretty with lovely markings and a silvery sheen to her coat.  Dulcie is like Paris in build, small and dainty and she looks quite young, little more than a kitten.   We’re lettting her stay quiet for now.  When she finds her feet and starts eating she’ll begin to feel better.  It’s good to know that she’s safe at last.
