We had two mandarin drakes brought in last week. They are still settling down, a bit shy in their new quarters, they have a hut to go in and a big paddling pool – no running water unfortunately. They are brothers and from last year’s hatching so they are best friends with each other. Their colouring is superb, these birds are living works of art!
They are lovely to look at now but their full colour is still to come. They will gradually become more tame, hand feeding them is the key. How do you tell them apart? It’s not easy but there are subtle differences when you get used to them. These two brilliant mandarins are for adoption and if you would like to come and see them please get in touch.
