Another injured pigeon

Pigeons are prone to injury, they are always getting into all sorts of trouble.   This little fella flew in to a plate glass window and knocked himself out.   He was brought in to us yesterday and after a night in ‘intensive care’ seemed to recover well.   He doesn’t have any injury that we can see but ….. he can’t fly.   We’re hoping this is only a temporary condition, after all, flying at speed and hitting your head on glass must be painful.   He’s eating a little bit and we’ve put him to roost in an aviary so hopefully he’ll make a full recovery.  How can a bird understand glass?   Even people walk into it by mistake sometimes.
