African Pygmy Hedgehog for adoption

We have just one African Pygmy hedgehog looking for a new home.   He was brought in because his owner could not care for him any more, he’s called Peanuts and is a friendly little chap.

These hedgehogs are smaller than our wild ones and they are a lovely pale silvery colour.  They can’t be kept outside as  they need warmth and would not survive in the wild.   Hedgehogs are solitary creatures and not bothered about others, they only get together when it’s mating time!

They respond well to humans though and need gentle handling.  They like to play and have toys and regular feeding helps to keep them tame.   Peanuts puts himself to bed and likes to snuggle in a towel or small blanket.
